Google Business Profile Setup Guide | GGC Real Estate Group
Internal Guide

Google Business Profile & Local SEO Setup

Follow these 7 steps to connect GGC Real Estate Group to Google Business Profile, submit your sitemap, and build the local citations that drive Tampa Bay search rankings.

Important: This page is for internal use only (marked noindex). Complete Steps 1–3 first — your profile must be verified before Google will show it in local search results or Google Maps.

STEP 01

Claim or Create Your Google Business Profile

  • Go to google.com/business and sign in with your Google account
  • Search for "GGC Real Estate Group" — if it already exists, click "Claim this business"
  • If it does not exist, click "Add your business to Google"
  • Select business category: "Property Management Company" (primary) + "Real Estate Agency" (secondary)

Use the same Google account you use for Google Search Console and Google Analytics for unified reporting.

STEP 02

Enter Exact NAP (Name, Address, Phone)

  • Business Name: GGC Real Estate Group (exactly — no variations)
  • Primary Address: 601 S Harbour Island Blvd, Tampa, FL 33602
  • Phone: (813) 812-4042
  • Add second location: 700 E Atlantic Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33060 — (954) 271-2714
  • Website: https://www.ggcreg.com

NAP consistency is critical. Ensure the name, address, and phone match exactly across your website, social profiles, and all directories.

STEP 03

Verify Your Business

  • Google will mail a postcard with a 5-digit verification code to 601 S Harbour Island Blvd
  • Allow 5–14 business days for delivery
  • Once received, log in and enter the code under "Verify now"
  • Some businesses qualify for instant phone or email verification — check if offered

Until verified, your profile will not appear prominently in Google Maps or the Local Pack (the 3-business box in search results).

STEP 04

Complete Your Profile (100% = Higher Rankings)

  • Add business hours: Mon–Fri 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Upload at least 10 high-quality photos: office exterior, interior, team headshots, managed properties
  • Write a keyword-rich business description (750 chars max) — include "Tampa property management", "Hillsborough County", "real estate brokerage"
  • Add all services: Property Management, Real Estate Brokerage, Tenant Screening, Lease Management, Financial Reporting
  • Enable messaging so prospects can contact you directly from Google

Profiles with photos receive 42% more requests for directions and 35% more website clicks than those without.

STEP 05

Connect Your Website to Google Search Console

  • Go to search.google.com/search-console and add property: https://www.ggcreg.com
  • Verify ownership via HTML tag — add to your site's <head> section
  • Submit your sitemap: https://www.ggcreg.com/sitemap.xml
  • Monitor for crawl errors, index coverage, and Core Web Vitals

After submitting your sitemap, Google will begin indexing all 15+ pages. Check back in 48–72 hours to confirm pages are indexed.

STEP 06

Request & Respond to Google Reviews

  • From your GBP dashboard, copy your review link and send to satisfied clients
  • Aim for 10+ reviews in the first 30 days to build authority
  • Respond to every review — positive and negative — within 24 hours
  • Include keywords naturally in your responses: "Tampa property management", "Hillsborough County"

Businesses with 10+ reviews and a 4.5+ star rating appear significantly more often in the Local Pack. Reviews are one of the top 3 local ranking factors.

STEP 07

Add Your Business to Key Directories (Citations)

  • Yelp: yelp.com/biz — add GGC Real Estate Group with exact NAP
  • Bing Places: bingplaces.com — mirrors Google Business Profile
  • Apple Maps: mapsconnect.apple.com — important for iOS users
  • BBB: bbb.org — builds trust signals
  • Angi / HomeAdvisor — for property management leads
  • Zillow, Realtor.com — for real estate visibility

Each consistent citation (same NAP across directories) strengthens your local SEO authority. Aim for 20+ citations in the first 60 days.

Google Search Console Verification Tag

When Google Search Console asks you to verify ownership, add this meta tag to your site's <head>. Ask your developer to add it to index.html.

<meta name="google-site-verification" content="PASTE_YOUR_CODE_HERE" />

Replace PASTE_YOUR_CODE_HERE with the unique code Google provides in Search Console.
